Located in Abbotsford, Molli is a new bar and bistro by the Mulberry Group, offering a casual and welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. The venue features a curated wine list and a menu of modern bistro fare, emphasising communal dining. The space is designed to feel like home, with warm interiors and a custom wordmark that embodies its inviting nature. For restaurateur Nathan Toleman, Molli represents a full-circle moment as it’s situated directly across the road from the location of his third venue, Three Bags Full, which opened in 2010. The large corner bar and dining space also feature a connected private dining room, both flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows.
The menu at Molli features a variety of offerings, from house-made snacks like nori crackers and duck fat-fried potato rosti to larger plates such as house-made pasta and Wagyu rump cap. Additionally, the venue sources produce from the Common Ground Project, Mulberry Group’s farm in Freshwater Creek. The cocktail list at Molli focuses on ferments and preserves, with shareable punchbowl versions available. The wine list showcases smaller local producers and family-run operations from overseas, while the space itself is adorned with pendant art deco globes, antique furniture, and abundant greenery. With a rooftop function space providing city views, Molli aims to be a welcoming gathering spot for locals and a destination venue for all.
