Umbrella Family Law

The family law firm that's in your corner, rain, hail or shine.

Family Law in Australia encompasses a wide spectrum, ranging from divorce proceedings to intricate international child custody negotiations. Clients within this realm can find themselves in the midst of life-altering events that will profoundly shape their futures. They’re usually at the peak of a challenging and emotionally charged period in life, marked by pain, complexity, and stress.

Family Law practitioners require professionalism, composure, reassurance, and fortitude. However, brands in this sector can fall short in offering the warmth, kindness, and humour needed to alleviate the tension that invariably hangs in the air. We wanted to challenge the prevailing perceptions associated with family law. While ensuring to keep the field’s much needed professionalism and gravity, we also wanted to see a brand that infused a sense of optimism.

Through chats with the Umbrella Family Law team, we quickly felt their sunny and warm personalities, as well as their genuine concern for clients and dedication to their work. It became clear that we needed to capture this unique energy and convey it in a manner that truly represented Umbrella. So we introduced human elements, a warm and inviting online presence, and an accessible site and collateral design. Custom illustrations were hand drawn as doodles and translated into scalable animations. We hoped to modernise and simplify the Umbrella brand to resonate with a contemporary audience. Today’s clients are often time-poor and living increasingly digital lives. We all just want to be treated with respect and empathy, and to be seen and listened to. The simplicity of the Umbrella brand cuts through to make a positive impression.
