Molli was a vinous eatery and neighbourhood destination in the heart of Abbotsford, created in collaboration with the Mulberry Group. Designed to move fluidly between restaurant, wine bar and rooftop venue, the identity captured a soulful local energy and celebrated great food, great wine, and good company.

Homely and relaxed.
Located in Abbotsford, Molli was a bar and bistro by the Mulberry Group created as a welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike. Designed to move comfortably between wine bar, restaurant and rooftop venue, the space centred around communal dining, thoughtful Euro-leaning fare and a curated wine list celebrating smaller producers. For restaurateur Nathan Toleman, the venue marked a full-circle return to the neighbourhood, opening directly across the road from the site of his earlier venue Three Bags Full.
The light-filled corner venue combined a generous dining room, large central bar and connected private spaces with a rooftop function area overlooking the city. The menu ranged from house-made snacks through to seasonal larger plates, with produce sourced in part from the Mulberry Group’s Common Ground Project farm. Warm interiors, antique furnishings and layered greenery shaped the atmosphere, positioning Molli as both a neighbourhood local and a broader Melbourne destination during its time in Abbotsford.
